Sculpture Park

At Galleri Odenslunda  sculpture park called “Lilla Askeberga Skeppssättning” we´re showing art which was created by twelve sculpture artists from Sweden and Russia. All works are  made from local limestone from Kinnekulle. During three years between 1999 – 2002 they´ve been working and created 60 various size sculptures; from miniatures till monumental up to 8m high. Kinnekulle Limestone, which we use in our sculpture park is available in different shades; gray, gray-brown and red. However, it has a characteristic “floral” texture with fossil elements, about 300 million years old. It is also a unique place and the only one in Scandinavia showing limestone as artistic expression.
